To explain the views that may seem contrary to the present members of the Community of Jesus, it seems best to put it in the form of a story.

It is also meant to show you that those whom you despise or think are “lost”—the people who have left the Community—are neither villains nor evil nor abandoned by God.

The purpose of this story is to start a dialog . . . not create an argument.
